One in three women are subject to physical or sexual violence according to WHO. Statistics show that men orgasm more often than women in heterosexual relationships, and 15% of women don´t orgasm at all (Hayes, 2018). Sexual trauma can be one contributing factor, as well as shame and sexual taboos. The Law of Consent is part of Swedish legislation today, but knowledge is still lacking.
By addressing past traumas, societal influences and insecurities, we can approach reflection, acceptance and self-awareness. There, understanding of the self and change can take place. This approach allows us to embrace our authentic sexual identity, free from shame and prejudice, paving the way for more open and honest sexual expression.
Having faced the hardships of sexual trauma in childhood and as a young adult, Diana has ventured the path to healing and wholeness.
